TITLE 4, CHAPTER 15

Chapter 15: Appellate Moot Court Collegiate Challenge (AMC3)

4-15-1. The Appellate Moot Court Collegiate Challenge (AMC3) is a program of the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature and is subject to the Constitution and laws thereof.

4-15-2. The Tennessee Intercollegiate Supreme Court shall be the governing body for AMC3. In that capacity, it shall:

  1. Assign justices for and preside at all AMC3 hearings.

  2. Adopt Rules of Procedure, including an empirical system for choosing the semifinalists, finalists and winner of AMC3, such empirical system not to be transcended for any reason other than demonstrable fraud.

    1. The proposed Rules of Procedure will be filed with the Secretary of State by June 30 of every year. The rules shall take effect unless the Executive Council declines to approve them within thirty (30) days and notifies the Court of the reasons for its objection(s).

  3. Annually select and publish the problem for the AMC3 case, including not more than twenty (20) precedent cases, unless a greater number is approved the Executive Council.

4-15-3. AMC3 will conform to the Official Schedule of the General Assembly as posted on the TISL website. Any proposed changes shall be either (a) submitted to the Executive Council before the day of the proposed changes or (b) unanimously certified as an emergency by the Court.
