Aiden Graybeal is proud to serve as Governor for TISL 55. He has served in the House as a Representative at the 52nd and 53rd General Assemblies, as well as Speaker of the House at the 54th General Assembly. This will be his fourth year at TISL. His door is always open to delegates
Upon graduating, Aiden intends to go to law school. From there, he intends to enter agriculture and politics, hopefully earning a place in the United States Senate.
PAIGE FOSTER
Secretary of State
University of Memphis
Class of 2026, Master of Business Administration
Hometown: Collierville, TN
Paige Foster will be serving as the Secretary of State for the 55th General Assembly. This will be her fourth year at TISL and third year on the Executive Council. Paige previously served as the Deputy Secretary of State at the 52nd General Assembly, Secretary of State at the 53rd General Assembly, and Governor at the 54th General Assembly. She looks forward to returning to the Executive Council once more to share her passion and institutional knowledge of the organization with all delegates.
At the University of Memphis, Paige is a first-generation student and is a member of the Student Government Association as a Justice. Outside of school, Paige works full time for the Tennessee Department of Human Services as a Policy and Research Coordinator. She aspires to eventually be a lobbyist and/or an advocate for government policy and potentially run for public office.
MATTHEW SUTPHIN
Attorney General
East Tennessee State University
Class of 2025, Political Science Major
Hometown: Unicoi, TN
Matthew is serving as the Attorney General of the Tennessee Intercollegiate Supreme Court for the 55th General Assembly. This will be his second year at TISL and his first year serving on the Executive Council.
At East Tennessee State University, Matthew serves as a Senator, Parliamentarian, and Chair of the Internal Affairs Committee in the Student Government Association and an attorney on the Mock Trial team.
Outside of college, Matthew works as a bank teller and farmhand. He has also spent time in the Legislative Internship Program, interning for Senator Rusty Crowe throughout the 112th General Assembly.
After graduating from ETSU, Matthew plans to attend law school and seek a legal practice in Constitutional Law. He is also interested in public service and would like to pursue public office in the future.
BRAXTON WESTBROOK
Lt. Governor and Speaker of the Senate
Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville
Class of 2024, B.S. in Computer Science conc. Cybersecurity; B.S. in Political Science
Hometown: Johnson City, TN
Braxton will be serving as Lieutenant Governor for the 55th General Assembly. He previously served as Lieutenant Governor during the 54th General Assembly, Speaker Pro Tempore of the Senate during the 53rd General Assembly, as a Senator during the 52nd General Assembly, and as Lobbyist for Organized Labor during the 50th General Assembly. This will be his fifth year at TISL and his third year on the Executive Council.
At Tennessee Technological University, Braxton serves as the Chief of Staff in the Student Government Association, after having previously served as Executive Judicial Liaison and as a Senator. He is also the President of the Associated Scholars’ Guild, the Secretary of the Association for Computing Machinery, and a representative on the Tech Honors Council. Braxton has served on many university and student-run committees, including the Administrative Council, Academic Council, the IT Committee, the Curriculum Committee, and others.
Upon graduation, Braxton plans to get his Masters in Computer Science. He then plans to work for the United States Department of Defense.
MACy TIDMORE
Speaker Pro Tem of the Senate
Rhodes College
Class of 2025, B.A. in Art History conc. Museum Studies with a minor in Politics & Law
Hometown: Chattanooga, TN
Macy Tidmore will be serving as the Speaker Pro Tempore of the Senate for the 55th General Assembly. This will be her fifth year at TISL and first year serving on the Executive Council. In previous years, Macy has served as a Senator and Representative for Rhodes College's delegation and as the Chief Clerk of the Senate.
Outside of TISL, Macy currently serves as the President of the Rhodes College TISL delegation. She is also the Vice President of Yarn It, a knitting and crocheting club, and a dedicated member of many other organizations.
Upon graduation, Macy intends to attend law school. She then plans to work on behalf of museums and artists.
KYAH POWERS
Speaker of the House
East Tennessee State University, Johnson City
Class of 2026, B.S. in Political science and B.S. in Philosophy with an English Minor
Hometown: Johnson City
Kyah will be serving as Speaker of the House of Representatives in the 55th General Assembly of the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature. She previously served as a representative in the 53rd and 54th General Assembly, and is thrilled to fill this position in her third year.
She enjoys supporting her community across the board as a member of East Tennessee State University’s Roan Scholars Leadership Program, and after serving a term in her SGA, set her sights on community outreach. Kyah has been part of a number of public service initiatives, including international work in children’s services and disaster recovery, while also working for Hunter, Smith, and Davis LLP and collaborating with her local Chamber of Commerce to connect business leaders with leaders of the upcoming generation during her time in college. She is additionally a member of ETSU’s top auditioned choral ensemble, and will be traveling to Ireland in the spring to perform in Dublin for St. Patrick’s Day.
Kyah aspires to attend law school after receiving her undergraduate degrees, and complete a career focused on public service and advocacy on the national and international level. She hopes to continue her work abroad in the coming summer, or to make a difference with the voices of the Nation’s capital.
SUSANNE COOPER
Speaker Pro Tem of the House
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
Class of 2024, Criminal Justice with a Minor in Political Science
Hometown: Cleveland, TN
Susanne Cooper will be serving as the Speaker Pro Tem of the House for the 55th General Assembly. This will be her fourth year at TISL, and first year on the Executive Council. Susanne has previously served as the Chief Clerk of the House for the 53rd and 54th General Assembly and as a House Representative at the 52nd General Assembly. At UTC, Susanne is a member of the Pre Law Society.
She currently works as an intern at Grant, Konvalinka, and Harrison PC in Chattanooga. Once Susanne completes her bachelor’s, she plans to go law school to pursue a career in Family Law.
DUSTIN KIDD
Lobbying Director

Master’s in Public Health concentration in Epidemiology 2024
Hometown: Maryville, TN
Dustin received his Bachelor’s from ETSU where he decided to continue his studies into his Master’s. Dustin was formerly a SGA member and mascot. Now Dustin works as a Graduate assistant for the International Enrollment and Services Office at ETSU. Dustin will be serving as Lobbying Director at the 55th general assembly. He has been at TISL the previous 3 years and hopes to expand the lobbying program!
JACKSON CLEMONS
Chief Justice
Belmont University
Class of 2025, Political Science Major with a minor in Philosophy
Hometown: Spring Hill, Tennessee
Jackson Clemons will be serving as the Chief Justice for the TISL 55th General Assembly. Jackson previously served as Deputy Treasurer in the 52nd Assembly and State Treasurer in the 53rd Assembly before joining the court as an Associate Justice in the 54th Assembly. This will be his fourth year in attendance and his 2nd year on the Executive Council. Outside of TISL Jackson is also a member of the Belmont Honors College.
He also serves as the founder and first President of the Model United Nations at Belmont, as well as a member of the Belmont Pre-Law Society and Pi Sigma Alpha.
Upon Graduation, Jackson intends to pursue law school with the hopes of someday serving as a JAG officer for one of the branches of the United States Military.
BRADEN SIMMONS
Communications Director

Class of 2025, Political Science and Journalism double major
Hometown: Memphis, TN
Braden is serving as the Communications Director for the 55th General Assembly. This will be his fourth year in TISL and his first year serving on the executive council. Braden has been in the media department for three years, serving as Internal Communications Director for the previous two years.
At Belmont University, Braden is an honors student, majoring in Political Science and Journalism. He is also the News Editor for the student paper, the Belmont Vision. Outside of TISL, Braden has been working as a freelance writer for a variety of publications including the Nashville Scene and the Tennessean.
After graduation, Braden plans to obtain his Master’s in Journalism and pursue a career as a political journalist.
MILIND CHATURVEDI
Treasurer
East Tennessee State University
Class of 2027, Finance and Math Double-Major with a Minor in Entrepreneurship
Hometown: Johnson City, TN
Milind Chaturvedi will be serving as the State Treasurer for the 55th General Assembly. This will be his second year at TISL. Prior to this Milind served his first year at TISL as a legislator in the House. At East Tennessee State University, Milind serves in the Entrepreneurship Club, Students of Finance Association, Economics Club, American Marketing Association, and the Muslim Student Association. Outside of school, Milind is an Audit Intern with KB Charitable Trust and enjoys serving the best breakfast East Tennessee has to offer at his wonderful local soup kitchen on Saturday mornings.
Once Milind obtains his bachelor's at East Tennessee State University in Finance and Math, he plans to further his education and get an MBA and, after, pursue a Masters in Pure Mathematics followed by a PHD in the same field. He hopes to provide value as a Quantitative Analyst and as a hobbyist-mathematician.
